Probably a yeast infection. I've heard that women who are pregnant are more suceptible to getting yeast infections. But it could also be bacterial vaginosis. Is the discharge frothy and green or brown? And does it have a noticeable foul odour?

If not, then it is probably just a yeast infection. No big deal. There is no long term effects of it, unlike bacterial vaginosis which can cause problems during pregnancy and such. But yeah, if it's just a yeast infection, my doctor told me that if you leave it for a week or so, (make sure you clean the area daily) your body will learn to bring itself to homeostasis and it will go away on its own.

Yeah I told my midwife and shes taken a swab from me (not very pleasant) and shes said its probably thrush (a yeast infection) and has recently given me a cream for it. The discharge is slowly going away. Thanks for your reply. I hadnt heard of a yeast infection until a few weeks ago lol

im iching and have recently fouund a yellow discharge just two weeks after surgery. help!

I would call the doctor and ask him about this....Probably a simple answer, but will make you feel better...

I am 65 and have yellow discharge most of the time unless on an antibiotic. Had a total hysterectomy years ago and there is no odor or itching ruling out BV. I am not sexually active. I do have trouble with recurrent UTIs & occasionally take Cipro and a yeast infection drug but yellow discharge returns after drugs are stopped. I am searching for a cure of all.
