Q: Treating Sharp Pain in Head and Jaw
asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 16th, 2006
I have been eating healthily, drinking lots of water, and getting lots of exercise, which is normal for me. In the past I would get throbbing, sharp pains on the left side of my temple, but only now and again. At times the pain would get so sharp that I would feel dizzy. I havent been experiencing that as often anymore, but lately I have been getting that same throbbing, sharp pain on the left side of my face, by my jaw. I wonder if there is something wrong, but I havent been to a doctor yet. Does this sound like something I should be concerned about? What could it be?

It is hard determine the causes of a sharp headache because there could be a million reasons. You can try to take some aspirin. If it doesn’t help, you can visit your GP to ask for a physical examination and diagnostic testing.
