Q: Gross But Need Help (tmi)

I posted yesterday, but it seems to have disappeared. I hope it wasn't offensive for some reason.
My name's jacqueline. This is my 2nd pregnancy but I never had sex during my 1st (bf left me when I was 7 weeks pregnant that time).
My husband and I had sex the other day and the day afterwards, I had a strange snotty discharge when I wiped. It reminded me very much of what the mucus plug was like when I had my son, without the streaks of blood. I haven't had it since then and there are no other signs or symptoms of a possible miscarriage, no bleeding, cramping, or anything.
Has anyone else had this happen? Do you think it was just the semen from the night before? :embarassed: i've never had this kind of discharge the day after intercourse before. Should I go to the doctor about it? :\

Just so you don't think i'm totally stupid, I haven't had my first prenatal yet. I was supposed to have it this past week but my doctor cancelled on me and rescheduled for the 24th, so I haven't had a chance to discuss what signs/symptoms I should call her for and since my son is almost 7, I forget what I was told back then. :\

Discharge was one of my only problems during my pregnancy!!

I had to wear panty liners everyday so it wouldn't ruin my undies!!

It's prob. That or just semen!! Just ask your .Dr when you see him!!

I'm sure all is well though!!

Good .Luck and let me know!!

Thank you babymajic and michelle both for your prompt replies. I'm just so worried with this pregnancy. I was so sick with everything in the book with my first pregnancy and this time I hardly "feel pregnant" at all (which could be seen as a blessing).
I intend to ask my doctor about it when I see him/her, and i'm trying not to worry too much.
Thanks again.

Lol...No problem...I was hella paranoid my whole pregnancy!!!! I didn't feel pregnant until I could feel her moving!! Then I would get paranoid because I didn't think she moved enough!! Nothing would convince me that things were ok!! I would be soo scared that they wouldn't find the hearbeat...Even at 30 weeks and so on!!

Now that she's hear...I'm not really to paranoid with her. I call her .Dr for things, but not as much now that she's almost 3 months!

You'll be fine!!

What do you want?? A boy or a girl??

I have an 11 week old baby girl.

Your baby is so cute, sarah!
My husband and I are both hoping for a girl, but as long as the baby's healthy, we'll be happy.
Kind of worried again. I'm having some very light brown discharge that kind of smells like a period. Did this happen to you? :\ according to my pregnancy calendar, my period would have been due this week. Should I still just wait for my doctor's appointment on the 24th? (sorry for being a worry wart)

and here I thought the second time would be less worrisome! Psha.

Just wanted to let you guys know, I phoned the hospital and they paged the doctor on call (who happens to be an obstetitrician). He ordered my normal pregnancy bloodwork through the hospital and told me to call first thing in the morning to make an appointment with him. He said that this can be normal during the first trimester and to try not to worry but he wants to be safe. He also ordered a blood hcg level (not certain if that's normal bloodwork after already having a confirmed pt from the doctor; probably to check and make sure it's still doubling properly?). They took like 7 vials of blood  don't remember them taking that much blood in my first pregnancy. Ah well. Thanks for helping me through the last few days. :) (and no, i'm not going away, you guys are stuck with me mwahahaha)
