Q: Diagnosing Discomfort and Pressure in the Eyes
asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 1st, 2006
About three days ago my eyes suddenly feel like someone is pushing at them from inside my head. This is affecting my vision making it hard to focus also causing extreme dizziness and extreme nausea. Can you tell anything about what might cause this. I don't think I'm going to be able to continue functioning if this lasts much longer.

I recommend you visit your GP first to check your blood pressure, administer a physical examination (especially neurological) and to do some standard blood work. If it is necessary, s/ he may send you to an ophthalmologist to check your vision and eye pressure or to a neurologist for more detailed neurological examination.
