Q: Lack of Calcium During Second Trimester

I'm really wary of what I should be eating at this stage of my pregnancy, and i'm worried I may not be getting enough calcium. I hate milk on its own, so I try to eat yogurts and cheese, and have milk on my cereal every day. I may just be paranoid, but I know if I don't get enough my body will take the needed amount from my bones, which isn't good for me in later life.

Is there anything else I could eat that's a good source of calcium? I'm also trying to get 5 portions of fruit and veg everyday, as well as enough protein.. But it's hard keeping track of what I need, I never used to be so conscious of what I ate!

I hate milk too, so I drink "silk soy milk" instead & it's really yummy. The calcium in soy is easier for your body to absorb so you end up getting tons, along with vitamin b-12 and lots of other good stuff.

I eat cereal with soy milk on it everymorning. (the chocolate one is awesome)

I love silk soy milk too! That is what I drink and it has the same amount of calcium. I also take a supplement since I don't do well with dairy in the first place. Also, foods like broccoli have calcium.
