Its not really back pain but involves the back. I'm feeling this weird tingly feeling on the right side of my back. Is it because I haven't been getting enough exercise or haven't been active lately since for last few days I have been at home sitting around and doing stuff. I haven't gone outside much this week. If it isn't, what might be the cause of this feeling?

Give some more details...It might be posturally related...But your question and description were just a bit vague

Me too sometimes.
I also have a wierd feeling in the right side of my back that happens for about 10 seconds from time to time...I think that this has something to do with nerves because ive been having anxiety problems lately and i think that is what is causing them. But overall i dont think it is something to be worried about.

Experienced User
midsummer,
I would say probabaly a nerve being affected. You may have slept wrong or strained somehting. Have you flipped your mattress yet? Try a hot shower before bed (with a full stomach) for a few nights and see if that calms down. It it persists or is bothersome then your MD will be able to figure out what it is. I know from personal experience that the body can heal so very many things. Time to recouperate may be the key. Since you are fretting about it though, it will be up to you when you go to the doctors to ease your mind.
I hope it is just a pinched nerve that is just caused from a slight inflamation and will go away very quickly. (This would be common. btw; if your doctor does a test and says you have DDD degenerative Disc Disease, do remember that they say that to childern as well. That is not a big thing. We were not meant to walk upright and are still growning into that new capacity.)
Good Luck,

i have that tingly sensation on my back aswell ..im also not very active and suffer with anxiety problems ,so maybe its kinda related ..i asked my doctor about it and she says that its due to inflamed back muscles that are put pressure on the nerves, and causes that tingly sensation ,she recommended Voltarol emulgel(u can get it at any supermarket or pharmacy, off the shelf) it does help ,so give it a go,and see what happens ,if it doesnt stop after a few weeks then see your doctor about it ..x

Spinal issue
I have this uncomfortable feeling and once while I was sitting I could've sworn I felt a bump but then it disappeared but something just feels.. wrong. Like, it would hurt if something was out of place right? It's not a pinched nerve, it's in the center of my back, I always feel the need to straighten out or move around I have no idea what it is or could be. Any help?
