GIRLS CALM DOWN!
For crying out loud MANY things can lead to a missed period. Weight loss, working out, loosing body fat. Getting fatter. When I first got my period it only happened on weekends. Then it started once on sunday, and now evey now and then I will have a weekday period.
IF YOU ARE A VIRGIN FOR CERTAINTY THEN YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT.
When you first start your period it is almost a fact that the next will be late, or wonky. This is due to your body maturing and growing with the onset of being of age to bear children. So don't panic unless you have MAJOR bleeding or a missed period of more then two months. My friend had a MONTH long period due to a cyst, she has to take 'the pill' to control her bleeding. If you have problems with your period then you NEED to get checked out. My friend lost a LOT of blood. She needed almost TEN units of blood pumped into her to make her NORMAL. If you have REAL PROBLEMS. SEE A DOCTOR.

I am a virgin... I put on some weight(belly) in the past one year...I have hair loss also...But for the past one month, I have been quite active...My last period was a little long - almost 7 days..

Well my period is around 20 days late! I have no idea why.. Ive never had sex or messed around. Ive masturbated but thats it. My period has always been pretty regular and ive never missed one. I have recently gone on a diet. Could it have something to do with malnutrition or stress?

I am 15 years old. I missed my period by 5 days. No cramping or nausea. I am a virgin, but me and my boyfriend have dry-humped wearing just underwear. My friend fears that I am pregnant. Am I?

I am a virgin who spent a month with a boy- we had handgun/fingering going on all the time but always he would wipe up and I can't stand the gooey feel on my hands so I would too. Rarely ever were we both naked, even sleeping we tried to keep some sort of barrier. I find it highly unlikely that sperm made it to my vagina. Within the month I has my period, about 5 days after my period I left the town and haven't seen him since.

And now my period is late, unless I have a really long cycle. Could I reall be pregnant? I pee a lot usually and haven't noticed a difference, I'm not fatigued at all (more energetic than ever) I have been stressed but not to an extreme, and I haven't seen any spotting. I'm pretty frogmen baffled. Many say they know their pregnant and I don feel that way, except for being scared I am now that my period is late. I went off the pill the month before I met him due to m doctor wouldn't give me more without seeing an obgyn bc I'm 21, but I was out of state and no one thee accepted my insurance.

don't freak out you are just starting your period that is completely normal. I know that for myself sometimes i will get cramps and bad mood swings ect.. with no bleeding for 2 or 3 days before i ever start my period. and I have been getting periods for 9 years now. When your young and first starting your period you may miss your period a few times, because your body is not used to ovulating yet. it can take up to a year or two for your body to get normal.

Jewlie_D

if you where put on birth control and your problems just got worse you need to tell your doctor or mother your birth control may be on to high of a dose.. I know my sister had to be switched 3 times to find the right dose and for the problems to go away

I have had that same problem my whole life and my aunt who is a really high up nurse said she thinks it might have something to do with my ovaries not creating enough hormone and that the way to fix it would be birth control. if that doesn't work you might want to get a blood test done for your thyroid levels to make sure they are doing ok but i would freak out over it.

your period could also be do to stress, weight gain, any number of things

I can relate to you guys. I've read all the posts I've actually been a little worried about this too. Thanks to everyone giving advice, it makes a lot of sense.

My story - I also got confused about blood work! I was being checked for something completely different. It was a "full panel" but, of course, there are different blood tests. Since that one came out healthy I forgot and started thinking my other levels were checked too o_O I spaced out. I've been under a lot of stress and anxiety so that could be it! I've missed one or two and have all the PMS symptoms, just no period.

It's ok to ask your doctor for a pregnancy test. Mine explained to me that he asks every woman to take one to be safe. It makes things easier on everyone. He has good reason and every right to ask, really. Don't hide things from your doctor, they're there to help not judge! Take care Smile
