I have been on nuvaring for about 5 months now. I havent had any probelm with my period during all the months prior to this one. Today I took the ring out , at its usual time, on the normal day, so that I could begin my new cycle. However during the remove of the ring I noticed some blood mixed in with some discharge on the ring. This is highly strange to me and I am quite worried about the circumstances. On the pervious months I would remove the ring and get my period in 2-3 days. Can some one please tell me if they have experienced something like this before? Is it normal? I have thought that it might be possible that my cycle has changed and shifted to an early time in the month ( as it would due when I was not on the ring ) and my nuva set up had not been accomdated for that , and there for a experienced a "period" while I sitll had my ring in. I plan to stop my usage of the ring for this month in order for me to be able to take clearer note of wheither or not my cycle has changed its place in the month. Please reply, im seriously worried about this and am unable to consult a doctor. Thank you any feed back will help

That is not abnormal at all, some women do notice that their periods do start to begin sooner in the 'week' sometimes. Nuva ring is such a low dose that this is not a worry!
