Hi, I have had two hernia op's, both without mesh but am on my third hernia now and the surgeon suggested that this time I would have to get mesh implants.
I read up on this method because I really don't want another op and then really not something in my body that isn't part of it, also I heard of complications connected with the mesh years ago.
Apparently the newer mesh they use is quite well tolerated by the body in individuals that don't have an allergy against plastic, if you have that it can be that the body rejects the material.
The other thing I found was that apparently the mesh can interfere with nervends because it covers such a large area within the body which can lead to pain.
So what you are experiencing might be due to that, but I have no knowledge about whether this goes away or what you would have to do to help this. You probably are best consulting with a doctor who has had experience with hernias and mesh implants.
