Ok, so I am on depo and am beginning to wonder if I might be pregnant. My husband and I only rely on the shot. My breasts are tneder some of the time. I feel like I have gained some wieght. I have strong cravings all the time. I have become more moody. All this is almost the opposite of how the shot usually effects me. Just wondering should I get a test?

I no nothing about depo but it sounds like it could be symptoms from the depo. However I don't know. Is your period late? If you are really concerned then perhaps do a test to ease your mind.

You can test for pregnancy if you think you might be. But all these sound like side effects from the depo shot.

If you test, at least you will know ;) good luck.

Mmmm depo is like taking a semi permanent bcp...It takes most women once stopping the shot upto 18 months to concieve. I doubt your pregnant especially on depo. Sounds like side affect from that!

My cousin gotten pregnant on the depo. Which is really weird cuz I always heard the depo is better then the pills. But nothing is 100% tho. So its possible I guess. Take a test to ease your mind.

Right. And my husband's best friend's wife conveniently got pregnant on the depo shot too. Hers though, was about as likely as monkeys flying out of my b*tt. She didn't get her shot when she should have and was fortunate enough to get pregnant right away. She still lied to the father and told him 'i don't know what happened, I got pregnant on the shot'. Which wasn't true.

I think you'll find that is what happens more often than not when women say they got pregnant on birth control. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, so don't start slamming on me. I'm just saying, it isn't as common as everyone would like to believe.

(alexa, I believe your cousin got pregnant. The above rant was not directed at your statement ;)

yes I agree with you. If you miss 4 pills and tell me you got pregnant on the pill , thats just ridiculous! Same thing with the shot and using condoms and so forth. If you are taking it as prescribed and start to play around then you cant be considered on any form on contraceptive. Keep in mind the pill itself is 99% effective when taken properly .....Meaning ,same time , everyday without the use of anitbiotics and whatever esle interferes with it.And condoms dont tell me "he put it in and then we realized it and we put a condom on!!!"...Aghhhh so aggrevating!

Sounds like the wonderfukl side effects of the depo shot..... I've had the same problems with it. But just in case take a pregnancey test to be sure. The depo can cause all kinds of side effects. For the first month or so, my breast were so tender they hurt.

It made me extremely irritable, health forum, nauseated, lost abit of weight, tired went pee alot etc all common side effects!!

Take into consideration b/c tricks your body into think its preggo so its not unnormal to hear/feel like your preggo on it but test........

I was watching "life in the er" and there was this rather large lady that was having abdominal/back pain that couldn't be releaved by motrin and she waited in the er for like 5 hours. Next thing at the end of the show they showed the doctors and staff running out there and putting her on a cot and she was screaming about something and they cut off her pants and out came a baby. The lady had been on the depo shot for 2 years, so she said, and she didnt' know/think that she was preggers but she had a healthy baby girl. She was crying but I dont' think it was due to happiness I think that it was due to the fact that she already had three grown kids, like above 10 or something like that and she didnt'know what she was going to do because she wasn't at all ready.

It scared the pants off of me. Lol

I've heard that when women are unaware of pregnancy and they start to feel kicking, they believe it's gas pain. Someone told me a story of their superior's wife who was complaining of severe abdominal pain. When she went to the hospital, she found out she was five months pregnant...And in labor. She had absolutely no idea she was pregnant. So much for the maternal bond between mothers-to-be and their unborn children.

Lol how can you not know man!!! No kicks nothing? Gessh! I saw some show on discovery about women delivering and one lady was having contractions all day and didnt think that she should go to hospital because her job was more important . Anyways she ended up in the car with her husband late at night and had the baby with her pants on!!!!!

Had a baby with her pants on! Ouch!!

Again, sadly, I know someone who didn't find out she was pregnant until she was 6 months pregnant. My best friend! She had lost a ton of weight and had this great boyfriend she didn't think was so great. Big dummy! They broke up and she put some weight on. Thought nothing of it. She was a big, big girl anyway.

She started feeling 'off' and got herself in an anxiety attack and went to the hospital where they ran a bunch of tests on her and gave her an ultrasound. It was then they found she was pregnant - 6 months gone already! She was so embarrassed and felt like such an fool. She never bonded with that boy and the father that she'd broken up with didn't even believe her until the baby was born.

It can happen, I just think with weird periods and strange weight fluctuations, you can attribute all the pregnancy symptoms to something else, you know?

One of my good friend's friend called her one day while pregnant and they were chilling out and she complained of feeling like heving to take a poo, so she went to the bathroom and started screaming for ashley to come (my friend). Ash went in the bathroom and saw her godson's head sticking out of her friend!! He was born in the bathtub!! Lol
