I'm now 16, and ever since I started getting my period, it's been pretty regular, usually about every 32 days i'd say...

About 3 or 4 days ago, which is about two weeks early, I got my period.
But it isn't like a normal period, it's a lot less than usual. Sometimes i'll go all day without bleeding at all, and I will just a little bit at night. Or i'll bleed very little maybe once a day. I heard of implantation bleeding when you're pregnant, but it's highly unlikely that I am because I use protection and the last time I had sex was the night I got my period.

I don't understand why I got it so early... Since i'm almost always on time. Any ideas why this happened, and why there is barely any blood?

Firstly, is this the first few times you have been having sex?

Because, after the first few time girls can bleed. As for your period, you body may still be getting used to it and working out a cycle. Also if you are taking bith control incorrect this can bring on an early period. You are only 16, your body is still getting used to all the hormones that are flying about your body. Also if you do have an incling you are pregnant, take a test to put your mind at rest! My periods were so messed up when I was 16, I started my periods when I was 14, and took a long time to get a cycle sorted, it is only recently that my periods are now every 28 days. And im 18. When I did start my period I went on the pill because my periods were so regular and heavy(my doc told me to go on the pill) maybe you should do this, that way it will control your periods and you will know exactly when your period is. As you are now sexually active it is better if you go on a more reliable contraceptive as condoms arent very reliable. Unless you want a baby that is!

Good luck! Hope this helps!

No, i've been having sex for almost a year...

Thanks though, I guess it is probably just hormones and being a teen and eh... I'm going to ask my mother about birth control soon anyway. =)

i was just a little confused since it's never been this early or late. It's usually only a few days late or early.

Few days early or late?Oh thats fine your 16. Glad I helped and the best move is to talk with your mum about birth control. You sound like a intelligent girl!
The best to you! Xx
