Hi, I just got a copy of an EKG I had done
two months ago that my dr told me was
normal. The machine reported an abnormal
ECG, cannot rule out anterior infarct, age
undetermined. The dictator crossed it out
and wrote late transition, otherwise
normal. I have also recently been
diagnosed with possible thyroid cancer and
am having surgery next week. My thryroid
levels are are normal, so I am wondering
if my dr should be paying more attention
to my heart? My heartrate has been
elevated lately, dr attributed it to
stress so am on xanax. Help, worried
enough.<br>

A “possibility of thyroid cancer” is
more urgent and threatening to your health
than a "late transition" reading on a ECG
report. Some ECG-apparatuses have machine
interpretations but remember: An
ECG-report can be interpreted only by the
doctor. I recommend you focus on the
thyroid operation and postone questions
about your heart until afterward when you
can seek help from an expert.
