Let me explain... I can remember back when I was like 5 or so and I was sitting in the bathtub looking at my big round tummy, thinking that it was gross and wondering if it would ever go away. Also, I remember all throughout elementary school and beyond how I wanted to be the smallest of all of the girls in my classes and I weighed everyday to make sure that I was. Now, please note that my mother who I lived alone with has never been a huge dieter and she's not a tiny woman, well she's short, but she's not super skinny so this wasn't a product of watching her. I really think that my anorexia was always in me. Of course growing up being a cheerleader and gymnast fueled my problem, but I still had the tendencies much earlier before then. Any thoughts or insights are appreciated.

Im really not sure. . I guess it does seem to be there quite young. .But I think even if it is born and bound to be there. .At that young.. A mother can really have an impact and hopefully prevent it somehow.. Scary to think tho.. I hope my baby doesnt ever have to go through an eating disorder..But I promise to be better and set good examples for my baby.. Even tho I only have a little less then 6 months till he/she is here!.. I think I started to see mine around 10yrs old but never acted on it till 13-14 and now im 18.
