I have suffered with twitches in my legs for seven years. They started when I was pregnant with my oldest child and continued on and just recently became worse. A tightening sensation would start in the lower back region, work it's way down my legs, to my feet and out the toes. I would constanly have to keep my legs in motion. In the beginning I would be able to walk around or go ly down flat to rid of the feeling and then it started to awaken me in the middle of the night or even keep me up to all hours of the night.

One night during one my "spasms" (as I like to call them.) I saw a commercial for requip, a medication for restless leg syndrome, and became very excited because upto this point after 7 years I had no idea that there was a condition for what I was going through. I called my mom to talk to her about it because I had really never talk to anyone about it because I thought there was no concern well anyways I found out from her that my grandmothers from both sides, my aunt and her also suffered from restless leg syndrome.

I then began doing some research on the condition and speaking to my doctor about it. When I spoke to my doctor about it she was concered that I may have someting else wrong, like a pinched nerve, because I described it as being painful and that is not a normal side affect. So she tried me on two different muscle relaxants for two months and that did not do the trick. I finally begged her to place me on the requip to give it a try.

Through the 7 years I would have a spasm at least 4 to 5 times a week sometimes more. And I am happy to say that I have been on requip for 2 weeks and have not had one spasam.

I wanted to post this because I had asked in several catagories if there was anyone that could help me with suggestions or even answers to what I was going through and not have any responses. So this is to anyone that may be suffering from the same condition and if you need any advice, knowledge, suggestions etc... Email me anytime thanks for reading!!!!!!

Restless Legs
I have suffered with rls for many years. Nothing I did would help me. My doctor gave me some medicene that was for parkinsons disease and it helped for awhile and then I had to come off it cuz they said you couldn't take it continuous for medical reasons. I have now discovered requip which is a new pill specifically for rls and it helps alot. Take it about an hour before bedtime and usually it helps me sleep and I make it throught the night without any complications. Good luck and if you haven't tried requip you might want to ask you doctor about it
hope this helps some
