my husband has started having terrible
stomach pains since last sunday. He spent
the whole night in absolute agony rolling
about on the floor. It was so bad that we
had to call the ambulance. They were
completely useless and were unable to do
anything apart from excluding the
possibility of kidney or gallstones. We
then went to the hospital and the
emergency room staff was pretty useless
too. They gave him some pain killers and
told him to go home because it wasn't
ulcer and they didn't know what else it
could be. So, he spent the entire day on
monday doubled over in pain and he was
still in pain throughout the night unable
to find any comfortable position in bed.
Now it's end of tuesday. My husband is
still in pain upstairs and I can't bear
watching him suffer anymore. He can't
take any deep breaths because it hurts his
stomach. He can only walk in a doubled
over kind of pose because he can't
straighten up without stomach spasms. He
is in absolute sheer agony. The pain
killers relieve his pain for about an hour
or two and then it all comes back. The
pain is so excruciating, he can't take it
anymore. He is exhausted from this pain.
He doesn't have any diarrhea, nausea or
vomiting. And the pain is in the upper
area of his stomach, so it's not his
intestines. If anyone else has any idea
of what it might be, please, please, help
us by sharing your experiences because
tomorrow morning we're going to try and
see the doctor again and at least if s/he
says they have no idea again, we might be
able to give them some idea. Please help.

Hello,
i woke up this morning with pain in the
upper part of my stomach, just like how
you described your husband was having,
although mine isn't as severe. I was
just wondering if the doctor found what
was causing the pain. And, how is he
doing now?
I also had this pain a couple weeks ago,
but it went away shortly after I ate. So
I thought it might have been just stomach
burn. But today, my stomach has been
hurting all day, the pain goes away for
little while and then comes back. I'm
beginning to worry that it may not be just
stomach burn. I have not taken any
medication yet, but was thinking of taking
motrin or tylenol before I go to bed.
I'm planning to see the doctor on
monday.
Thanks

Tummy troubles, have you taken your
>husband back to the dr and found out
any information yet? No one should have
to be in pain like that! Darn dr's
raven22, let us know what your dr says.
Hope it is nothing serious! Good luck!

I have been this bad also I have been to
the hospital so many time if I had a
nickel for everytime I would be a
millionaire. Everyone has told me i'm
crazy all my tests are fine and there is
nothing wrong but I can't lay down, sit,
stand, breath or eat, sometimes I have
felt like od-ing so i'm unconscious cuz I
can't take it anymore! Hot tea has been
helping whether it's in my mind or not tea
as hot as I can stand it with honey! I
even tried showering but the pain is so
bad I can not stand long enough! And
sometimes it's one day sometimes a week!
But by reading this I at least know i'm
not crazy thanks
