:oops:
i m 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby after one abortion....This time baby is active and very healthy....But my doctor told me that she has found some kind of viginal secretions in my urin test and now she is going to take scretions directly from vigina....In my 37th week visit.....I want to ask that if that test is gbs test do any one had this test....And what are the reasons of such infection...And secondly I want to ask is thier any risk in delivery :( either its normal or c section....My baby is going 2 eefect with this or not what r the consequences my baby is going 2 face because I have heard that this infection causes brain damege or death of baby plz....Answer all my questions I m 2 2 22 much worried.....

Well I don't really know what it could be but have you had the strep b test yet it might be that they will test you for that is sometimes found in your urine. They just give you antibiotics or it might be an infection I am sure you will be fine if they were very worried they would have tested you right away. Good luck!!

Thankx 4 replying me I m worried because if I am gbs positive than my baby my get infected and I have heard very bad consequences of this infection on baby....Baby my doctor is relaxed coz she thinks that I have much time till delivery so she can treat me gradually......I am 2 upset and depressed 2day after reading an article about gbs wombs and infectted babies on internet.......I donn't want any harm 2 my baby I can bear 2 much pain but I cann't see my baby getting such caca disease just coz of me.....I am 2 sensitive about him.....I just want 2 cry.....And share my feelings with sombody....

.N.E.V.E.R ever read on the internet about any disease or condition or anything you think you might have (or that you have). It will only freak you out.

I'm sure that if your doctor thinks it's ok, it's ok. But if you're this worried, you should talk to him/her and have things explained a little better to you.

Ok I am gbs positive and as long as it is vaginal or anal then they give you antibiotics before you deliver through iv when you go in. If you also have it in your urinary track they will give you oral antibiotics in the weeks prior to delivery. My doctor said it is nothing to be concerned about and don't stress it is very common and easily caught and treated.

U r expecting first time or u have baby before this if yes then tell me ur delivery was normal or not and after how many weeks u deliverd last time...And ur babywas healthy?????

No I am still waiting to deliver!!! I am 40 wks now. But if you look on the labor delivery forum there is a person named yensm? Or something close to that she had gbs and delivered a healthy baby girl. Good luck and don't worry I am sure everything will be fine. ( I know easier said than done!)
