Pregnancy sucks..For men!!! ...This is the title of one of the funniest pregnancy books I have read. I bought it for my husban but I finished reading it before he did!

I know us women are the ones mainly suffering through the pregnancy aches and pains etc but I think its good to remember daddy and how much he has to put up with!!

This book was sooo funny and also has good tips for dads to be on how to take care of his pregnant wife! (or girlfriend)

any other books you like??? I love to read pregnancy related books!

Ha! This makes me think of my father. He always jokingly used to say that "women may have to put up with the pain of being pregnant, but men have to deal with the psychological torture, which is much worse than physical pain."

I just finished a book (my fiance and I are expecting our first child) called the expectant father
facts, tips, and advice for dads-to-be
second edition

the authors are armin a. Brott and jennifer ash

it is the male counterpart to the book "what to expect when you're expecting"

it has a chapter dedicated to every month of pregnancy and at the beginning of every chapter tells what physical and emotional symptoms your partner may be having and then the rest goes on to tell ways to support your partner, get involved, and even things like recipes with good prenatal nutrients. Even though that there are more contemporary views regarding fathers now there still seems to be a slim selection for fathers-to-be. The few pregnancy books for women that offer sections for the father are more focused on whats going on with the partner and the information tends to be very watered down and condensed.

I would highly recommend this book to any expecting father, it covers both what you and your partner may be going through and it is very interesting and has helped my and my fiances relationship greatly.

Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy is absolutely hilarious. Instead of talking about what a beautiful experience pregnancy is most books do she lays all the dirty not so pretty facts out on the line for you, from constipation, to discharge, to horrible headaches, to the constant urge to have to pee, it's really educational especially for first time mothers, and at the same time makes you laugh out loud. It's also nice to know that your not the only one going through some of the not so beautiful parts of pregnancy, I recommend it to anyone, including dads to be, my husband read it as well and found it to be equally and funny but I think it might have traumatized him a bit. LOL

thats so funny that I saw this topic because yes the men do go through a lot. My hubby got morning sickness. When I cry he cries. When I am sick for a day he usually is nausous or cant eat. If I am sad he can feel it. If I am awake at home alone he knows and he wants to be with me. BUt if I am asleep or peaceful he feels good about being seperated. Its so crazy. Porr thing though cause the 1st couple of months were very hard for me.....

I can honestly say that I feel really bad for my husband sometimes, because he has to deal with all my problems until I feel better about them. Especially when I keep him up all night becasue I can't sleep becasue my back hurts, or my emotions are going crazy etc. I think they should have more pregnancy books that are written for, and appeal to men. Especialy becasue they feel so uncomfertable reading about the subject. (at least it sometimes seems that way) My husband wants to be involved in the pregnancy, but he wants it to be fun and entertaining, not a struggle to find out how to help me when even I don't know the answer.
