How much do you weigh? Are u actully overweight for your height etc

if you seriously want to loose weight you need to have someone to help you
like a doctor or someone?

You probably have messed up your body. Your mind as well.

Let me first suggest therapy. It has done incredible things to help me, as well as many friends of mine.

But if thats not possible, then heres what I suggest:

the first step would be either stopping purging entirely or cutting down. A lot. For me (and I know that this is a technique that is sometimes used to beat alcoholism), what worked best was to focus on keeping down a single meal, at first. Then I worked in terms of days. Just focus on not purging until you fall asleep. Think about tomorrow the next morning. And the next morning, having seen how hard you worked the day before, you know that you can do it again. And then you see that you can't give up. Otherwise what use would all that work be?

You need to accept yourself. That means accepting those eight pounds. This part is easiest once you stop purging for awhile, so that you can take a good look at yourself. (i was scared out of purging...I'd literally start shaking and crying everytime I went to go do it.) my therapist lent me a book on compulsive eating (breaking free from compulsive eating, by geneen roth), and in the book, the author talks about the importance of loving yourself, and how you can't say "i will love myself once I lose eight pounds." you have to learn to love the eight pounds. I do not know how to do that, but you must find a way.

Best of luck. Keep me updated.

I'm bulimic too. But i'm in the process of trying to heal myself. You see, nobody knows about my condition except my boyfriend, and he's really against it. I've been trying to stop and so far i've been doing really good. What has helped me was eating smaller portions. I think if you can train yourself to stop eating when you're no longer hungry, then it will help you stop throwing up. If you can prevent yourself from being in that position where you are so full that it hurts, then you'll be better able to keep your food down. Plus, if you eat small portions, you will feel less guilty for keeping the food inside. I still throw up here and there, but i've cut back tremendously. I used to throw up every meal. Now I throw up maybe a couple of times a week. Soon I won't be throwing up at all.

In terms of exercise, the key thing is to do something you like. For myself, i've taken up salsa dancing and cycling. And I do at least one of the two activities every day. If you want to add some formal exercise to your lifestyle that is good too. I'm not great at going to the gym, but when I do go.. I hop on a machine such as the stair climber and read a book. It's really good to do some weight training too, but not until you've got some control over your appetite. Weight training increases your appetite, so without control, you'll just end up binging and purging again.

I know how you feel. I know how it is to hate your body. I still hate my body. I hate my thighs, stomach, and the cellulite on my bum... But honestly, since I started getting some sort of physical activity every day, i've started to feel a little better. And I know the more I do it, the better i'll feel. It'll be the same for you too.. Just stick to it, find exercise you love, eat nutrient rich food in smaller portions, and do it every day. You'll soon see and feel results just like I did.

You sound really sad & scared, which is good because you know how bad bulimia can be for you! I was bulimic for 10 years & I was afraid to tell anyone ~ but believe me, that is no way to live.

The best exercise for me is walking. Whenever I got the urge to binge, I would put on my headphones & jus take a walk wherever I was, either outside or on a treadmill at the gym or in a mall on cold or rainy days. It's nice if you have a friend or relative to walk & talk with, too. Try for 1/2 hour every day, then eventually work up to longer walks.

With all that exercise, you need to eat ~ but real food. I found I had to totally give up all of my bulimic trigger foods ~ white flour, sweets, ice cream, fries & fast food. At first it was hard but I replaced them with healthy fruits, veggies, whole grain breads, nuts, & yogurt. You can eat alot of that kind of food without gaining weight. I make sure to eat regular times, breakfast, lunch & dinner every day. Whenever I skip a meal or don't eat enough (not binging, but feeling comfortably full) I start getting those old binge urges again.

You can stop purging & start living. Your body is messed up, but it can heal itself. Have patience & be good to yourself. You are dealing with a deadly disease & you are doing the best you can to get over it. You can do it!!!!
