I was having back pains and my stomach hurt and I was having contractions every 10 minutes and then they stopped but the back pain stayed and I still have it.. It sometimes gets worse when I lay down so that'll make it really hard to sleep tonight.. Is there anything I can do for it? Or does anyone know what could be causing it?

Same questions & possibilities as the last post, but our answers would be better, wiser & more relevan t if we knew how far along you are rather than us assuming by you mentioning contractions that you'er near to having the baby.

For back pain I used several things, sometimes one after the other, othertimes depending on situation or precise type of pain:

curled up with my back against the warmth of my husband & "felt" his breathing sort of as a gentle massage;

long soak in a hot (not too hot) bath while I read & had a cup of tea;

take a gentle walk;

hot pack against back;

sitting up to sleep;

do something to occupy your mind - sometimes if I forgot it I found that i'd relaxed & it had eased or even gone.

Probably Labour...
You can take tylenol or use a heating pad for 15 minute intervals, but back pain is a sign of labour. How far along are you? Everytime I have gone into labour, I have had extreme back pain. Expecially if you had contractions, please check with your doctor, or even the emergency room to see if you are dilating. Take care of yourself! Goodluck!

I'm due in a week.. And the pain went away so I could sleep as long as I had a hot water bottle against my back.. When the hot water bottle cooled down I woke up.. The pain is smaller but it kinda feels like its coming back. Any position is painful. No more contractions though

Back Labor
The long thing that is it back labor. I had it and what really claims me down was jerry springer. I went into the hospital and they said I was ready to deliver I was 7 centermeters. So if I was you I wouldnt rush to the hospital cuz its not worth it just hold out until you cant take that pain anymore.
Good luck Wink

Cold Pop Can
Today I was in childbirth class and I learned that if you're having back labor get a almost frozen pop can and rub it against your lower back. It makes the baby go away from it because it doesnt like cold.

Maybe you were dehidrated (horrible speller)...Drink lots of water and lay down...If the problem still goes on..Call your doctor.

Hey, Its Me
Hey its just me. I say if you keep having these pains go to the doctor. It doesn't hurt to be sure. You could be in labor or really close to it and you wont be able to know if you've dialated any unless the doctor checks you. Go for it and I hope everything goes well. I know you cant wait till you have that beautiful baby girl (my fingers crosses for you) at home and in your arms.
