So I just found out 2 days ago that I may be about 28 weeks pregnant. No, I had no idea whatsoever..I had no symptoms or signs, and I had my period (twice-which I paid no mind to the lack of regularity as my cycle has never been regular in any way shape or form)...There is no way I can afford to take care of a child, I really have no want to be pregnant at all, and with a car accident I was in a few years back ,the pregnancy may be very complicated and painful..I have no idea what to do as I am being told by many different clinics in my area it is too late to consider abortion...

Hi there and welcome! If you talk to the dr's about the situation, they can keep you fairly comfortable. Have you thought about adoption? You might think of going to social services and see if they can help you, they should be able to give you some information on who to talk to. If they did do a c-section on you, you would not feel anything until you woke up but their is always a possibility just like any other surgery of having scar tissue later which can be painful but we all are different. I am sorry about your situation and even though it is late in the situation, I do hope that you have had your pre-natal visit and have started on your pre-natal vitamins.
Good luck to you!

An aboriton so late is very expensive, not covered by medicaid, and you need health reasons to have one.

Adoption may in fact be your only option, I am so sorry.

I don't want to sound like a nut case, but all i've felt is unhappy and severely depressed since I found out 3 days ago. I literally sometimes just want to die so I don't have to worry about having this child. I've been diagnosed with severe depression (and have attempted suicide 3 times in the past year) and this is just adding to it..I don't want this child at all and the fact that everywhere I turn people tell me I have to go through with it makes me feel sick...I don't know...

Your only option to have an aboriton would be for meidcal reasons..And an aboriton so late would cost thousands! You would have to travel to colorado, or one other state that has a doctor who could do it.

Are you sue you are that late?? Have you had an ultrasound yet? That is the only way to know for sure..

Yes, I also think, that having found out about pregnancy in such late time you can't be so sure about how many weeks you are pregnant... Anyway, I wish you good luck. And please remember, if you can't change your situation, then change your view towards it.

I am wondering if she is really 28 weeks... She may only be 20-24 weeks..If so then she could get an abortion by travelling....

But you need to find out asap...

They date pregnancy by last menstrual cycle ususally, but if you have irregular periods, it can throw dates off.

I live in nc.. Not too far from ohio =)

there is a clinic in dayton ohio that does abortions until 24 weeks..It is expensive though...

There are cheaper clinics that go pretty far in pregnancy in bigger cities, if you can travel =)

i am crossing my fingers that you are only about 19 weeks pregnant!

Hmmm...

If you are just getting chubby you may still be early enough for an abortion.

I know that a lot of women say they are getting'chubby' at only 13-15 weeks..

Are you getting the ultarsound at an abortion clinic, or a regular gyn doc?

If you are just now getting chubby, you may be early enough to have an abortion. At 28 weeks you would be quite large! So there may still be hope..

There are a lot of abortion clinics that do not charge a whole lot for a 20 week abortion, so if you are under 20 weeks and need help, let me know =) I can try and help find you clinics , and costs..

Well, after a long weekend of pulling strings and calling every pregnancy center/ abortion clinic in the area, I managed to be able to schedule an ultrasound this afternoon instead of waiting until friday...Wish me luck everyone, I hope there will be good news!

I will warn you, some pregnancy centers are pro life!!! They will give you an ultrasound, but also push adoption! You do not have to listen though.

I am between 26-28 weeks. I may have to have a c section within 3-4 weeks, and they will then put it into adoption.
