Q: Hepatitis B Vaccine

I received the first dose of the hepatitis b vaccine 3 years ago and never finished the series. I started the series 9 months ago and once again never finished the series. I have now started the series again. Is it dangerous to receive more than 5 total doses of the vaccine?

Hep B Vaccine Series
The 1st question is how many doses of the hep b vaccine have you received total? As long as the time interval between the 1st and 2nd shots was 1 month and the time interval between the 2nd and 3rd shots was at least 6 months, you have completed a valid series. There's no need to restart the series, no matter how long between shots.

Go to www.Cdc.Gov for more info about vaccines.

I received my hep b vaccines back in '95. I'm wondering if I will need to do the vaccinations again? How long are they valid?
