What are the chances of having twins if my partner is a twin.

Not that much higher than the normal population. There were twins in my family & triplets in my husbands but no-one on either side has had a multiple birth in our generation, although to be honest both I & one of my cousins lost our sons twin.

When it comes to twins whether you will have them or not is completley dependant upon the womans side of the family the father has nothing to do with the conception of twins.

So if my dad has fifteen brothers and sisters and of that fifteen there were three sets of twins and in my generation there has only been one set born to my cousin does that increase or decrease our chances.

My bf and I would love to have twins

from someone who cant wait to have a jelly bean all of their own

Allusivepond since its your dad you are talking about and not your b/fs dad it would greatly increase your chances of having twins because his genes went into making you so you could have the twin type gene.. Sometimes it skips generations and so you never really know but your chance are deffinetly increased:) good luck:)

Twins seem to skip generations with some families but not in others, my mother was a twin, but out of her children and her brothers children there were no twins, but now im having twins :d good luck!
