Any other symptoms; weight loss/gain? Stress/anxiety/depression? Sleeplessness? Cravings? Anything ?? Have you seen a dr & had tests done especially to check oestrogen levels??

My daughter (14 then) was on the pill for 4 months from october 2002 to february 2003 & it caused her to lose tonnes of weight (she was incorrectly diagnosed with anorexia), cease periods (her new & sane dr says that especially with young people loss of periods as a result of taking the pill is not uncommon & can last up to 2 years but it's best for several medical reasons to try to avoid this) & also it can affect your brain chemicals in several ways including causing stress & then the whole situation you find yourself in makes this worse & everything becomes like a snowball rolling down hill.

Post back or pm me with more details about your total situation & any other symptoms(even possible ones that ou don't think could be connected) - one problem if you just post back for some reason i'm not getting the auto notice of further posts after I post on a topic at the moment.

No matter now much I eat, or how much fat food I eat I can't gain weight, I am 5'7 106lbs, I have gone through a little bit of stress, but I have been on the pill for 2 years.
I have not gone to the dr

Hey there janine,
im 18 & im on the pill 2.Ive been on it 4 2.6yrs.At the beginning,i had about 2 periods then when my body got used 2 it,they disappeared althogether.I got spotting every now and then but not much more.At the moment though,im spotting but its very painful.
Did u have normal periods when u started the pill? Do u use it carefully because if u do,i would not think u r pregnant.
If u r worried,go to the doctor. My doctor sed its not good 4 young girls not 2 have periods because its not good for your bones.Im having a bone scan soon 2 make sure mine r alright.
Liz
