I have been on nuvaring for about 2 months now and I have been having breakouts on my face repeatedly. Has anyone else experienced this on nuvaring? Is there anything I can do to treat it? I have tried a whole bunch of treatments but nothing really seems to work for hormonal acne.

Nuva ring is a very low dose, so some women notice that it does not help acne as much as regular birth control usually does.

If you wanted to you could talk to your doc about a birth cotnrol pills like ortho tri cyclen, but using something like proactiv or another over the counter treatment may help.

I'm on ortho tri cyclen and I thought it would help my acne but it is definately worse. I've tried everything as well. When I was on the patch for a couple of months my acne was better but I hate the patch. When I switched back to ortho my acne came back and even worse then before.
I'm thinking about switching to nuvaring

I tried nuvaring for two months and stopped using it because of the side effects...It made feel sick and tired plus it caused me to have acne...I am tired of hormonal contraceptives...Because I have lots of side effects on them

I have been on nuvaring for 4 months and I have been breaking out too but not as much as the first 2 months.. I personally like how I dont have to deal with pill taking I tried it and couldnt keep up.. I think u should give a few more months and see if things change and if not then try another method of bc
