I've been back and forth with various doctors for over a year, and finally 2 weeks ago I found out what was wrong with me. My new doctor with only 2 visits to him, explained to me that I have a very strong chance of endometriosis. He first suggested sugurey, but he doesn't feel that I will have any relief from the pain, because he feels there will be scare tissue. Since he said that i'm strongly against surgurey. He suggested taking a shot, once a month for 6 months. I have an appointment with him next month to discuss the shots side affects.

Has anyone had endometrosis and have taken the shot?

Sorry
I didn't mean to confuse you all. When I said "shot" I mean lepromine shot. I'm told it's a very strong medication to clear endometriosis.

Would it be right to say that you have not actually been diagnosed with endo? Because you need surgery to diagnose it so if you have not been diagnosed he would be giving you this shot on a guess that you have endo am I correct? Im just worried for you thats all.

Endo - What It Is.
I had a friend who had it, and basically what it is is a defect where your organs were developed with parts of your uturus which are supposed to be on the inside are on the outside, trying to shed blood and lining. There is no where for the blood and lining to go, so its almost a type of internal bleeding. It can only be seen by either surgery or cameras and the only way she was healed of her pain was to have the organs containing this tissue removed. The tissue that is normally found on the inside of the uterus, in endometriosis, can be found on other organs too like the overies.
