That was a pretty good list I just wanna say one thing:

if you can not get the clothes for cheap or have then either find someone who can give you some or try some second hand store because the baby will grow out of them pretty fast and you dont want to waste the money that you do have! Good luck honey!

I bought everything already!Lol, but when I get my taxe $$ back im taking all of it and stocking up on diapers...Well be using those for the next 2/3 years!Lol...Dont get alot of 0-3 months outfits or newborn outfits, tehy will grow out of those really fast!...And alot of washcloths and receiving blankets, and dont buy pacifiers yet, b/c theres alot of diff ones and usually they give him one at the hospital and they tend to like that one, and as far as nipples for the bottles, u never know which one they are gonna like...
Hope that helps a little

I wasnt sure about that one either, but i'll start looking and grab em if theyre on sale...My list of things is already over a page long! Lol thanks for all your input!

Wow, lots of people...Ok this is my opinion...I buy cheap diapers for dduring the day and then I but huggies for at night. I save money that way. You will learn you own tricks I am sure... I used to by luvs but I found that pampers swaddlers were better for crawling babies. I also didnt care for destitine and I ws raised on balmex so I passed that on to my child. Another thing...Buy lots of blankets, stock up on diapers I did. Sean is 9 months old and we just had to start buying again a couple months ago.. Only buy like 4 packets of size 1 tho, I ended up giving like 4 packs away...Are you having a boy or a girl? Pick a theme and stick with it. Save everything well not everyhing but a lot. Buy a digital camera or lots of film. We have spent too much money on pictures. Think about making your child a scrapbook...Little things mean so much..Get a warm air vaporizor they are good for in the babys room. Consider buying a snuggly they really come in handy. Buy a medium diaper bag, so that you arent tempded to carry to much. A bottle warmer. If you are having a baby shower maybe send a little note on wha tyou still need.. I asked for like diapers and cleaning baby stuff, I still have not had to buy soaps which is good at 5.00 a bottle..Just get yoursef prepared. I have lots of boys clothes 3 months and older...Summer...Let me know!! Love stacie..

Hey
Well, all the usuals. Desitin creamy is my fav. Diapers. Like they said. Maybe 2 packs of newborn diapers then all the rest. Anytime they go on sell! Buy lots! You'll need enough for at least a year and a 1/2 if not longer! Bath items and such like that also. Clothing! And the usual funature. Bed, changing table, basinett, walker, swing, toys etc....

Hey
I have a few more ideas. When my niece was a baby her vibrating chair was the best when she had colic or was cranky. Make sure you get one, they aren't all that expensive and they are very helpful. Also a baby swing can be very comforting! Someone mentioned a vaporizer. That's a very good idea, especially if your baby comes out and has bad allergies. Lots of bibs are a good idea if you use bibs. I don't like them and didn't use them on my niece, I prefered to wash clothes 10000 times a day then use something I had to tie around her neck..... Just my opinon.
Bottles, and I really don't like those ones that come with the baggies.... I prefer regular plastic bottles. But with those, make sure they are clean or your child could develope thrush.
Make sure you have extra nipples for the bottles, it's not good to give a baby a bottle with the same nipples for more than 6 months (not a proven fact, just something my family does) we throw all the nipples and replace them every 6 months..... Prevents build-up, even if you boil them....

Thank you for all of your advice and tips, it's really helped! Me and my mom sat down and made a list of all the things we need to buy brand new, and some of the things we shouldn't go crazy on(ie clothes esp. 0-3mos)...My dad told me he was going to build a rocking chair for the nursery(hes a contractor)! So im so excited, he's really coming around with all of this....Once again thank you all for helping me out...And keep those tid bits coming!
Much love,
vanessa

For kari:
1. Diapers~no one can say what brand will be best for you...Just try different types and see....My mom used luvs for us and liked them so that is what I am starting with!
2. Wipes
3. Lots and lots and lots of blankets
4. Ditto for bibs
5. Lots of sleepers
6. Lotions, shampoos, and baby washes (i like johnsons or baby magic)
7. Lots of baby wash cloths and hooded towels
8. Swings are a lifesaver.....When you just can't stand around and rock baby yourself.
9. Pack and play is something I would definately reccomend.
10. I wouldn't reccommend a changing table....As they get older you will probably not use it much for fear of them squirming and falling off. Beds and floors work just as good.
11. I reccommend balmex diaper ointment
12. Invest in a few toys for newborns and up, like a mirror toy or a play gyn that has bold contrastive colors, like black and white.
13. I would definately reccomend a boppy pillow even if you arent going to nurse....They are good for giving baby support when they are learning to sit up.
14. I reccommend playtex nursers....I have used hard bottle with other peoples babies and I just really prefer these....Plus baby usually has less gas.
15. Bottle/nipple brush
16. Breast pump if you intend to nurse
17. Breast milk storage bags from gerber if you intend to nurse
18. Wrist rattles!!!!
19. Extra crib sheets
20. Baby bath tub or sponge is definitely a good idea
21. Bouncer seat that vibrates and/or plays music is another good idea
22. Digital camera!!! (i still need one...Lol)
23. Quite a few hats! Cuz babies lose heat through their head.
24. Lots of onesies
25. Thermometer
26. Petroleum jelly, baby oil
27. I intend to use nuk pacifiers....That is what the hospital here uses so I figure it is worth a try....If you use pacifiers just make sure they have an orthodontic shape!
28. Diaper bag
29. Crib

i know there is lots more......I just can't think of them all right now.....Lol. Hope this helps.

I made a list under "things for baby"

personally I like desitin creamy the best! Regular desitin is tooo gooey and it stinks, is also hard to get off of skin. Desitin creamy is easy to wipe off and smells so fresh! I use walmart generic brand diapers called "dri bottoms" I have tried luvs, pampers, and huggies. Out of all of them I liked pampers swadlers the best. I absolutely hated huggies. Jayden did leak through all the name brand diapers the only ones she didnt leak through were generic!
