When can you first Detect a Fetus' Heartbeat? Posted: 06-19-06 22:33pm
hi i have had 2 misscariages one in june
05 and one in october 05.I started to
bleed both times at the 11 week mark.I was
told the baby had died at 8 weeks both
times. I am 5 weeks pregnant now and am
very anxious.I was wondering when you are
able to detect the heartbeat of the baby
as i would really like to have an early
ultrasound to see if everything is ok,as i
do not want to go all the way through to
week 11 again with no success

A fetus’s heartbeat can be first
detected via ultrasound after the 7th week
of pregnancy.
