I'm Going to Have a Lavh...any Thoughts? Posted: 06-19-06 14:28pm
I'm going to have a laparoscopically
assisted vaginal hysterectomy (lavh) and
it won't be soon enough. 5 years ago I
fought to have an ablation & while my
doc was in there he got rid of a cyst,
some endometriosis, and tied my tubes.
He warned me that i'd be back and that at
the point of the 3rd surgery, he'd
recommend a hysterectomy. Last year I
went in for another laparoscopy but with
in 6 mts things got bad again. I've been
battling with my uterus for 20 years and I
promised myself that i'd let it go when I
turned 30. I am excited that I will keep
my ovaries and that I can have a lavh. I
am curious to hear about experiences with
lavh. I'm also curious about recovery
tips & trends. I am aware of risks
and complications but it's my partner who
is most concerned about those issues.
