Q: Can't Go to My Own Baby Shower

My baby shower is june 25th and I am on strict bed rest, and I cannot go. In fact I could have the baby anytime so I might have him before then, but it really upsets me that everyone will be there for me and I won't be there to see them...My sister-in-law is videotaping everything and some people are coming to my house after, but I can't have 50 people in my house at once so we couldn't have it here...

I know that sounds like a little thing to be whining about but the stress of everything is just getting to me...

Hope you all are doing good! If anyone out there has had a preemie before please im me, I have some questions about what to expect...

Thanks
holli

I know exactly how you feel I wasn't able to go to my baby shower because it was a 7 hour drive and my doctor said no cause they thought I was going to deliver by now. It was so depressing cause I didn't get to open my own presents and I still don't know all that I got. It just really sucks I feel really bad for you. But atleast you will get all your stuff after and get to see some people.

What you can do is delay the baby shower until after the baby is born!! Not only do you get to enjoy everything and be there personally, everyone will love getting to see the new baby!! I have known several people who have waited to have the baby shower until after the baby is born and they loved it!
