For the past 7 years I have been experiencing pain that goes across the lower back then shoots down my legs and into my feet. It occurs at night more so but deffinatly after sitting for long periods. My legs will spasm and I will continually move and stretch them because that is what seems to help that and walking. I had asked my doctor about it and she just keeps placing me on muscle relaxants that don't work. I have motioned that my grandmother has restless leg syndrome and I was wondering if I had it. The Dr. Seems to think no because she has never had anyone complain about this syndrome being painful.(though my grandmother says it is)the dr is wondering if while preg. That my son may have pinched a nerve in the back area, because it started when I was pregnant that the nerve hasbeen damaged some how and acts up oocasionally. Anyone with there thoughts would be great

Anyones Suggestions!?!?!
I am having a real hard time getting any responses. Am I asking the question in the wrong forum or directing it to the wrong person? I was really excited about this web site because I thought that I would get some feed back from people that may have suggestions or maybe even some help but even getting a reply is far and inbetween. I hate to be rude but some feed back would be nice thank you heather

Have you tried a chiropractor? Or massage?
Maybe print off a symptom and signs list from the internet and take that to your doctor.

I have heard that restless leg syndrome can be painful and annoying, there is medication out there for it. Dont know how expensive it is.

What does your relative do for it?

Good luck
