"not An Ed Because Im Not Losin Weight Fast"? Posted: 06-17-06 23:33pm
I have heard that if you don't lose a
drastic amount of weight in a short period
of time, you aren't anoreixc? My cousin
was anorexic and she lost 25 pounds in
about 3 months but she was overweight..She
barely ate and exersised a lot and still
is....But she didn't lose a whole lot
considering how little she eats. I mean,
25 pounds in 3 months is a 'normal
dieters' weight loss success...Shouldn't
she have lost like 50? I mean, I am not
judging cuz I have never been anorexic.
I just want to know what she would be
considered. She barely eats but isn't
losing weight too fast (i don't think) and
she isn't underweight....How fast is the
weight supposed to drop when you are
anorexic? At least for you guys...I am
so concern but I don't wanna cause a scene
if its not that unhealthy of a weight
loss. She claims she is fine and doesn't
have a problem..

Her body is obviously strong and trying to
fight back againts the loss. Its very
dangerous to loose alot of weight quickly.
Anoerexia is a brain disorder, just
becuase she is shedding the pounds doesnt
mean she isnt anorexic? Thats my personal
oppinion, im not sure thouggh
good luck with finder her ehlp

Just because she doesnt fit into the
defined range of weight or weight loss to
be classed as anorexic, that doesnt mean
she isnt. Sure if she was overweight then
its probably good that shes lost a few
(lol), but not eating and exercise isnt
the way. Body needs fuel. To breath. To
live. To survive. But its not an extreme
amount, but does she completely avoid food
or only eat low low calorie stuff? This
is a hard one, maybe monitor her a bit and
see what she really eats and stuff. And
just because the physical side isnt there,
doesnt mean the psychological side isnt.
