Is there anybody out there who has had an ovarian cyst that has cleared up on its own? Also once you've had one does it mean you will get others? If the cyst shrinks but does not disappear altogether is it ok just to leave it as long as it isn't bothering you? Any information would be very gratefully recieved Smile

Hey! Many women have had cysts on their ovaries & its usually due to the hormone levels-its quite common to have them when ur on ur period for example. These cysts do shrink again & if they dont, they can usually b treated wiht anti-biotics.
If u have cysts,it cud b 4 a number of reasons such as hormone changes or being on the pill.I had a camera put in me 2 check 4 cysts & the doctor sed,if I had one,its quite possible it shrunk on its own.Being on the pill can cause u to get cysts but theyre usually nothing 2 worry about.
This is not to say that having cysts is no big deal-it cud mean u have polysistic ovaries or worse.I wouldnt leave a cyst because I had a great deal of pain in my ovaries & I didnt want 2 leave it or ignore it
best wishes
liz
