I wish I could help you out but my hysterectomy was a complete and I totally lost one day from being kept so doped up, I was in the hospital for three days, I was up and moving around slowly at 1st in a few days and it beat having the cancer, it was the best surgery I ever had! Talk to your anestheseologist or Dr. I understand the nervousness and I have had several surgeries but I bet you will be fine! Maybe someone else here has more info on what you are looking for as I realize that you are a lot younger then I am. Feel free to call your dr with any questions you have.
Please keep us posted on how you are doing! I wish you the best! When will you have your surgery?

Hi hotty,

i had a vaginal hysterectomy back in feb. They left my tubes and ovaries. My surgery went well. It was a little painful right outside of recovery but the morphine drip helps alot. :d the recovery time is quicker if there is no other complications. I went home the next day. I did have a little set back because I got an infection at the incision site and they had to perform and incision and drainage in march. I recently have had some discomfort again with retaining water and a swollen belly but I went to the doctor and he gave me some antibiotics. Just please take it easy and rest as much as possible. You will be fine. If you want to talk more you can pm me. Take care and good luck!

Hi hotty,

i was 33 when I had my surgery I just turned 34 on may 27th my surgery was due to a prolapse as well and severe menstral cramps and bleeding. Yes he did remove my entire uterus. He also lifted my pelvic floor because the prolapse was so severe. Good luck to you!

take care
