Q: How Soon Should I See a Doctor?

I found a lump on my scrotum skin. It was hard at first and I tried popping it, but it wouldn't pop. A few days passed and finally I was able to squeeze puss out of it. I've continued to squeeze puss out of it for the past 24 hours. It never actually "popped" just sort of leaks when I squeeze it. Now, right under the lump, my scrotum is a little red and swollen. That might be from all the squeezing or it might be an infection. It doesn't hurt.

In any case, I have an appointment to see a urologist, but it is 4 weeks away. Is this something I should be more concerned with and push for an earlier appointment? Or is it not as urgent and I can just go in to see them next month?

I always hear that if you catch many diseases in an early stage that they are curable. But how soon must they be caught?

Hi!
From what it sounds like you are not having a problem with your testicles but with your scrotum (skin) and this means you should see a dermatologist. From what you described it doesn't sound dangerous, so relax.
Go and see a dermatologist. But you can still go to the urologist just to get your testicles checked. :)
