Q: My Ob Asked Me If I Wanted to Be Tested For Aids

I said yes but I wont know results till my next appointement I have been wiht the same man for almost 3 years and I already have one very helathy child, im 8 weeks preggo now, what asre the chances that I could I have contracted aids 3 years ago and not known about it all this time, I always thought that when you got pregant they did that automaticcaly. But my new doctor says they have to ask you and that means I didnt get teseted when I was pregnat with my daughter.

Wow.. Yes.. I do beleive you are supposed to be tested for aids when you are pregnant.. But they do have to ask u.. So thats odd that u didnt get tested before. My doctor just told me about this and I will get tested for it in a few weeks at my next appt.. Or they mite have tested the blood I gave last week. Its scary to think about but sometimes people have aids and dont know about it for years. I really doubt u have it tho. I am scared.. I doubt I have it but its still a scary thought.
