Been to the doctors and he said hewould
order up tests to see if I am
hypoglycemic.
Anyway, last night I was at my parents
house for sunday dinner. We had loads of
potatoes and chargrilled chicken with
boiled carrots and broccoli.
About an hour or two after eating I
started getting these weird feelings, with
my eyes going relly funny the most
prominent. I dont know how to explain the
'funny eyes' other than to say they just
went weird fr a while.
I went to bed and couldnt sleep at all as
I seemed to be overly anxious. Thoughts
were just running through my head and I
think I may of got palps.
There was no shaking this time however.
Why the eyes though?
Des this sound like what you folks go
through? Do your eyes go funny, sometimes
one pupil bigger than the other?
Thanks, scotlad

My pupils used to get dilated a lot or i'd
get blurry vision. Sometimes they would
hurt or i'd feel like my eyes weren't
working properly, can't really explain it.
What you say is exactly what most of us
have gone through, yes. Running
thoughts suck because you feel like you're
going crazy, which only makes it worse.
Every once in awhile my brain will feel
like it's not working right and I can
usually tell because random thoughts will
pop out and, how to say this, won't feel
right. It doesn't frighten me and it's
very temporary, but it still sucks. As
for why these things happen, I don't know.
The brain just seems to pick which
areas of the body are least important at
the moment and shuts them down or draws
sugar away from them. Usually, you have
the same set of symptoms for each person
meaning that whatever your symptoms, they
tend to always cycle and remain constant.
You get new ones here and there, but
usually you'll find they seem to be
connected to others and aren't really new.
So I can't tell you why the eyes other
than the same thing I always say. The
brain has to decide, when sugar is low,
which things are most important, and then
it turns off certain areas or draws some
sugar away from certain areas to make sure
those areas which are most important are
still working properly. For example,
the heart has to keep pumping, so maybe
for you the brain is like "hmm, well, the
eye's aren't that important for the
moment, so i'll just take a little of this
out of there and shut this off over here."
i'm going to say you definitely have it
though, what you ate there is bad bad bad
news. Potatoes and carrots are some of
the worst vegetables you can eat at first,
especially in large amounts.
