Pregnancy Q&A Answer A1109
No, it is not safe to have sex during your period... especially if your cycle lasts less than 20 days. There are many contraceptive methods but the safest are these 3: condom, birth control pills, and/or an intra uterine device (IUD).For your age group, You can use condoms or birth control pills. A condom protects you from both unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). If you have many sexual partners, You can use condoms. If you have a stable relationship with only one partner who is also faithful to you, then you can use birth control pills (oral contraception). An IUD is not recommended for women who haven’t delivered yet.
