1. What is l-glutamine and where does l-glutamine come from?
2. What does it do and what scientific studies give evidence to support this?
3. Who needs it and what are some symptoms of deficiency?

Off the top of my head...

Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid (meaning your body can make it). It can cross the blood brain barrier. Its primary storage tissue is Muscle. People suffering illness including burn victims take mega-doses of the stuff. Its primary benefits including - boosting the immune system, helping with sleep quality (via the release of gH when taken before bed time), and helping prevent ulcers by protecting the intestinal mucus lining. I've also heard it helps build muscle and that is why Bodybuilders take it - although I have no idea if its true.

Sorry I cant provide any scientific references as these are all off the top of my head from my college Phys days.
