My wife recently went to guatemala for two weeks. She took all the precautions while there, but ended getting sick. It was actually a chest cold that went from the nose to throat to cough. At one point she did get sick to her stomach, but only once while she was sick. She showed no other signs of stomach problems while there.
About 1 week after she returned, her cold was gone. She ate a bowl of ramen noodles and got extremely nausiated. She threw up several times, then went to sleep for a few hours and was fine after that. She was eating fine after that, until four days later. She had a rice bowl, with a pre-packaged pouch of sauce, veggies and meat that you pour over the top. The exact same thing happened, where she immediately got nausiated and vomited several times.
She has never had problems getting sick after eating and I am concerned that this is somehow related to her visit to guatemala. The way it is intermmittent is strange though. Does anyone have any thoughts of what this could be?
By the way, both episodes where at night and she just had her period so she is not pregnant.
