Q: Missed 2 Days of Pills...how do I stay Protected?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 11th, 2006
I'm on Ortho Tricyclen Lo and have been since Feb '06. Anyway, last pack that I was taking, I ended up losing my last active pill during week 3 and never took it. That was on Jun 1st. I started my period on the 3rd. My problem is that I wasn't able to get my refill pack until today (Sunday 11th), so I took 2 pills because I figured I was late started the new pack. Was I correct in doing this? And how likely is it for me to get pregnant this cycle w/o using additional protection? Thank you.

Its seems you missed two dates in your cycle of birth control pills: the 9th and 10th of June. It is correct procedure to take 2 tablets on the 11th, but you may taken another 2 pills on the 12th also. You can use another, additional method for contraception (a condom in addition to the pills)... for the remainder of this cycle.
