Any Side Effects of Glucosamine And Chondroitin On the Liver Posted: 06-11-06 08:42am


Hi everyone, 3 years ago I was diagnosed with having fnh or the liver with elevated ggt and ast levels. My ggt and ast are still slightly elevated but my doctors over the past few years are not concerned about it. I have been told to stay away from multi vitatmins and other supplements as they may affect my liver. I am wondering if it is safe to take glucosamine and chondrotin tablets as I am developing bad knees (suspected arthiritis - it runs in the family...) any advice will be appreciated.
