I have had a constant headache (no kidding) for 18 months, neck pain, pins and needles sensations in my left side, dizziness, memory problems, etc. All of my tests have been "normal" (blood tests, spinal taps, mri's, etc.) except I had an ultrasound of my carotids that did not show stenosis, however my blood velocity was equivalent to having a 50%-70% blockage, an eeg of the brain revealed "diffuse slowing" and a recent mra of my carotids revealed a "focal irregularity of the left external carotid artery proximally."
my question is could my symptoms be related to problems with my carotid? No doctor so far has shown much interest in this theory but to me it seems to be the only lead! Also, what does a "focal irregularity" of the carotid mean? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
Thank you so much!
