I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder about a year after my second child was born. Started taking meds soon after. That was over 2 years ago. We decided to have another child, so I stopped taking meds. 9 weeks along now, and really having a hard time. Depressed, unmotivated to do anything, etc...Is there any medicine that can help, but not harm the baby?

I Give You Suggestion
Hi I know that depression is more common in women than men and is especially common during the pregnancy time because during this period they are stay at home and no one there for the care, but tell you depression is just a feeling you can overcome from this there are lot of ideas and helps that give you internal support to fight the depression there is one help line that give you relax from the depression edit . You need this because men seem to seek help for feelings of depression less often than women because women is always with the man and she can give him a best care. And as you say that I am in the period of the pregnancy so I suggest you that you have to very care full about this because edit you can overcome from the depression before the pregnancy with out any help but first month after a delivery is very serious because after pregnancy if depression came to you then it directly affect the health of your new born child, and second thing you ask about the medicine so I tell you there are lot of drugs like zoloft, celexa, paxil, and lexapro but befor taking the medicine you have to consult with the doctor, and I pray to you that you got a very healthy and cute child all the best.. Take care and say bye to depression.

I would definitely ask my doctor if I was feeling like this. I did stay on my depression meds during pregnancy, but you will have to ask your doctor what you should do. I hope you feel better soon!
