Q: I Have a Question About Some Symptoms

What do yall think this could be?

The symptoms are: pain in right side below rib cage & breast, which sometimes goes to his right side & middle, nausea, vommiting, gas, burping, indigestion, sometimes a low grade fever, tiredness & bloating.


Please help!!

I Think..
Off the top of my head this sounds like classic gallbladder. I'd make an appointment with a gastroenterologist, but if you need a referral then see your regular doctor first, but I would not reccomend letting them treat you. Tell them you'd feel more comfortable with a gi. They may do some tests like a endoscopy to make sure it's not something else like an ulcer and they may also do an ultrasound or a hida scan.

Well they put him on aciphex, that didn't help, so we went back & they put him on nexium, did blood work & an abdominal ultrasound. They came back normal. Nexium isn't working, & he still has all the same symptoms. He goes for a hida scan monday, at my urging & if it's less than 50% they will take his gallbladder out. They more than likely believe it's his gallbladder, if it's not then they will send us to a gi specialist.
