I have always had etating problems but never asked anyone if I had an eating disorder. Ever since I was in the 6th grade I have binged and purged. But sometimes I do it a lot mor than usual. Or I will use a lot of laxatives , or take a lot of diet pills so I can work out a lot. I have always thought that I dont have an e.D because I don't do it all the time. Now since I have been in college I have done it a lot. I order pizza's at night sometimes and then purge in the boxes out of depseration.Do I or did I have one. Something that made me wonder is that sometimes I just get bad chest pains and feel like I have heart problems, even though im just 18. I also, the last time I went to the dentist found out I have 16 cavities and got a root canal.I know only a doc can make a diagnosis..But any insight?

You most definitely do have & have had an eating disorder & it is getting worse so you have to decidse whether you want to live or die. Idea

if you do nothing you will die!! Mad Exclamation the chest pains could well be heart trouble or ulcer or just indigestion or muscle spasms from purging.

If you do not want to die then you & only you have to act & I mean now!!

1) go see a dr>>. Have full blood, urine tests done including oestrogen levels, liver & kidney function also have your blood pressure temperature & so on checked

2) referral to a dietitian.

3) referral to a counseelor/psychiatrist/eating disorder clinic

4) be prepared to put college on hold. It will still be there when you get better but won't be much use if you're dead!!!! This is not a joke, nor am I trying to scare you, just tell you the truth.

5) seek out an eating disorders support group.

6) tell your family & friends what you have been doing & are doing & how long it's been going on, they can help you, support & advise you. They may also need to find a support group to help them.

Good luck

Yes you have an eating disorder. I thought the same thing when I first started throwing up. Then it got out of control throwing up 7 and 8 times a day. I would eat just so I could throw it up. All colleges have counseling go talk to a counselor before it gets out of hand.
