Can infrared heat saunas be used or has anyone used these saunas for cholesterol lowering or detoxing?

I've never really heard of using them to lower cholesterol. I have heard of people using them for detox but really it just makes you sweat. You might get some dirt and grime out with the sweat but that's about it.
