Q: Antibiotics Hurt My Stomache & Esophagus?

Last week I finished a 3 weeks of antibiotics (doxycycline) for an infection. On the last day of the treatment I got chest pains and stomache cramps which have not gotten any better. I saw the doctor 3 days ago and he gave me protonix (aka pantoprazole) which is supposed to help with esophagus irritations and ulcers. The chest pain is the worst. It happens after I eat something and lasts for hours. Getting up, moving around, exercise, etc. Actually makes it feel better. I've already had lots of heart tests recently for something else so I doubt it's my heart.

After searching the internet it seems lots of other people have chest pains after taking doxycycline, and it's caused by esophagus ulcers. But they usually go away in a couple days after getting off the medication. Mine haven't gone away. Anyone else with this experience?
