Okay so I know this is kinda off topic and has nothing to do with pregnancy, but thisis always the best place to ask people!! Lol

matthew is about 6 weeks old right now.. And well I guess my first question is, whats diaper rash look like? Does it just get red? Anyways.. Cuz rite now on his '2 little buddys' (lol) ive noticed about 3 - 4 bumps.. Almost like blisters... I put penaten on it.. And now theres less.. But his little penis doesnt look right either..Lol..But I duno how to describe it.. Does anyone know what this is? Do I need to take him to the doctors or what?

Especially eHealthy
It could be thrush, quite common in babies. Or just bad nappy/heat rash.

What kind of diapers are you using?

Trey reacts really badly to huggies. I thought he'd grown out of it and bought some the other day and once again it's all nasty so no more huggies here.

Also boys can get yeast infectoins too, trey almost had one in his neck last yr in the fat folds.

Take matthew to the doc and let them tell you what it could be just in case.

I can't believe he is already 6 weeks old. How are you holding up with mommyhood?

A little more help
You may want to try out a simple diaper rash cream as well, to protect from irritants and friction. I've had success in rash prevention with one cream specifically -- BabyPaste5.0. It has a really simple formula which it says means there are no toxins or allergens in it. It also uses a small amount of vinegar to keep the cream's pH matched to skin pH. Supposedly pH imbalances can cause diaper rash. Anyway, one big reason I use it is that I can buy it in a small one once push up container that I keep in my pocket book.

Well, I was always told to use "Pure Cornstarch"...the kind you cook with straight out of the can for diaper rash. A diaper rash can be little blisters, or just a red sensitive spot. I always use "Johnsons Baby Powder, the Pure Cornstarch" kind, not the actual baby powder. It helps to prevent a rash. Use it EVERY diaper change & change him often.
