Zoloft Quit Working Posted: 06-06-06 13:58pm
I was on zoloft for gad for 2 years and
then it abruptly stopped working. Anyone
have this happen b/f?? I'm on effexor
now.

I have been on zoloft for 6 1/2 years. I
take it for depression and anxiety.
During the last year, i've noticed it not
working like it used to. My therapist
has suggested I make an appointment with a
psychiatrist to possibly adjust my meds
instead of my pcp. I have scheduled an
appointment but I it's about a month away.
I'm really scared to switch meds as the
depression is so scary for me. The
suicidal thoughts and hopelessness is too
much to bear.

there are other
antidepressants out there that work pretty
well. I wish you luck in finding your
best option.
