Hi bradleybarton!
The short answer to your question is no ...
Because of the fact that you are getting most of your calories and food intake from empty carbohydrates which have little to no nutrition.
Carbs are great when you get them from fruits and vegetables, so eating
more apples, oranges, bananas and vegetables etc. Would be beneficial.
These kinds of carbohydrates (your miniwheats) are exactly what you do not want to be eating so much of. Having one bowl of cereal is fine.
I understand - I am a huge cereal fan myself and I have to keep myself from eating too much cereal.
These are refined white flour carbohydrates which are absorbed quickly into your blood stream and spike your blood sugar and prompt a huge insulin response. This causes your body to store more fat instead of burning fat - which is one of the things you need to do to lose weight.
One of the main concerns is when you consistently produce so much insulin because of the food you eat is that you will develop type 2 diabetes - because your body becomes intolerant to so much insulin.
Eating 2000 calories a day would be alright when you eat a more balanced
diet of meat protein, soy protein and fruits and vegetables. :d
i know these suggestions will help you on your way to losing weight, feeling better and getting healthier.
